Bidding Manager:

The Bid Manager will assemble a bid team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and process. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills.

Experience: 3 To 7 Years

Proven capability in delivering winning, multi-million pound product or complex services opportunities. Ideally has a background in solutions and services and experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery, and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution design.
Must be comfortable working at Director Level (internal and external customers). Will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace. Sound commercial understanding, P&L and risk management skills. Have the ability to manage complex, multi-worksteam opportunities. Solid understanding and implementation of internal governance procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities.
• Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions fromsales , marketing, product teams,finance , commercial, legal and delivery.
• Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
• Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
• Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary).
• Manage the bid budget.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.
• Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues.
• Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract award.
• Must be an excellent communicator.

Bidding Executive:

The successful applicant will have a background in employability support, learning and skills, disability/health, in custody/ex-offender support, social services, education or careers guidance and a demonstrable track record of success in competitive bid management and bid writing for funders including DWP, SFA, MoJ, NHS and local authorities. S/he will take responsibility for project management of bidding opportunities, work with operations colleagues to develop proposals, support all bidding activity, including monitoring and reporting on progress.
   You will be part of a small team responsible for supporting the achievement of projected growth targets. You will write and edit bids, proposals, expressions of interest, presentations and pre-qualification questionnaires to secure new business, responding to tendering opportunities and completing bid documents to deadline—ensuring that they are of consistent quality to meet Prospects’ high standards and conform to Prospects’ brand/ house style.
   The successful applicant will understand the public sector outsourcing landscape including how to identify and analyse opportunities. You will assess risk, determine the business case and work in consultation with the finance and operations teams on bids, to achieve profitability.

Person Specification (all essential)

• Previous professional/project management experience in procurement and/or one or more relevant business areas: education, employment and training, skills, welfare to work, care, guidance, youth support services.
• Excellent written communication skills including editing/précis ability, with ability to produce high quality, successful tenders.
• Familiarity with tendering portals, understanding of public sector procurement practices and demonstrable experience of managing, preparing and writing successful bids for contracts with national and local government departments and agencies.
• Comprehensive IT skills to produce high quality documents; competence in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to research and establish evidential links to support bidding proposals.
• Sufficient numeracy to understand the implications of project budgets.
• Able to develop articulate presentations creatively, using a variety of media, to persuade and influence others, making the business case for the company.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible, non-standard hours, under pressure, to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams in a variety of contexts.
• Evidence of analytical skills and paying attention to detail, producing appropriate, accurate, high quality written work within often challenging word limits.
• Good networking and interpersonal skills to develop critical working relationships across the Prospects Group and, where appropriate, externally with funders and other key partners.
• Must be flexible and willing to work within a small team.

Android Application Developer:

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.

Experience: 1 To 5 Years

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Proven software development experience.
• Proven working experience in Android development.
• Have published at least one original Android app.
• Experience with Android SDK.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and API’s.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Graphic Designer:

• Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
• Plans concept by studying information and materials.
• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.
• Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
• Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
